Migraine? Should I see a doctor?
I get these types of migraines at random, there is not really a given period, but usually about once a month. I think its called migraine aura. The flashes of light come first, then the symptoms of headache and nausea after flashing disappears. Usually my head hurts very bad, I feel I need to throw up, and at worst I am sensitive to light and feel very weak and tired. These have passed since I was 14, and more frequently in the past year (I'm now 17). My mother thought I might be too young, because she had not experienced migraines until a few years. Any ideas if this is a problem and if I see a doctor?
Migraine: Usually, periodic attacks of headaches on one or both sides of the head. It may be accompanied by vomiting, increased sensitivity of eyes to light (photo phobia), increased sensitivity to noise (phono phobia), blurred vision, dizziness, cognitive impairment and other symptoms.
