Is it allowed to go on birth control if I had a history of migraines?
I usually hemiplegic migraine have horrible they stopped at about 13, but each time a while I'll get a horrible migraine. Is it safe to go on birth control?
I would not say it's a matter of it being safe or not, but one of the main side effects of birth control migraines is because you are introducing a significant amount of synthetic hormones to your body. It also depends on what birth control you go. I went on "seasonal" and used to get terrible headaches but was birth control that you only get a period every three months so it was a huge dose of hormones. Not all controls birth have such a quantity. I want to talk to your doctor and ask them what is best for someone who has had migraines like yours before. Also, I would check the new birth control that are not pills, like the Nuva-ring or patches. Those may not be the same side effects. If you can not see a doctor and you are considering a health clinic, then the different types of searches. There are many sites that do not legitimate information medical but the two below are legitimate. My doctor told me that if I ever wanted to investigational drugs, these are the sites that doctors use.
