Can running in cold weather trigger a migraine headache?
I know this sounds really stupid, but I went to the title and walked Tonight / Jogging a mile. This is the first time I did any type of walking in I do not remember how long. I was dressed warm because it was about 20-25 degrees outside. When I finished and I returned to my car, my chest started burning and ears and my glasses fogged. A few minutes later my head started badly. On the way back I had a little trouble breathing and headaches began to worsen. When I got home I crawled into a warm bath which seemed to help a little. Then I just laid on the couch and read for several hours. As I put there, my headache kept getting worse and other symptoms of a headache popping up (to light sensitivity, nausea, severe pain) and my chest started to feel tight again. I just wanted to know if this is normal. It was long as I pushed as I did tonight (especially in cold weather) and I just wonder how to make it disappear.
reminds me it is a sinus problem. You were mostly breathe through the nose I suppose. The cold air froze the mucus mainly in the sinus cavities. The reason it has improved in the hot tub was steaming. Try a hot compress on your face higher, covering the eyes (will help with sensitivity to light) and let stand until it begins to cool. You may also have started a problem with your ears from the cold too. If you continue to feel dizzy with nausea, then get ear plugs and follow the instructions to them.
