Breastfeeding and headaches, HELP!?
My baby is almost a month and breastfeeding is going well, we both had thought to it within minutes of birth. However, I noticed that I have this throbbing headache, more days than not. I drink lots of water (I thought that was the problem), and I can not understand what I'm doing differently from one day to another that causes headaches. Is this hormonal deficiencies, or what?
I still suffer from headaches and my daughter is 10 weeks. With my son, I suffered hormonal headaches for four months. The extra water helped, but it is very common for hormones in your body after you take birth to have mild headaches in the extreme for a while. Until the hormone levels return to normal, you experience as they fluctuate from day to day. Since you are breastfeeding the only thing you can take is Tylenol unless you consult your doctor. If the headaches get worse I would definitely contact your doctor to see what you can do. Good luck and congratulations for your toddler.
